Recipe: Sweet Granola Energy Blocks
What do you get when you combine a granola bar, with an energy bite?
ENERGY BLOCKS! These bites will keep you fueled.
At Salads are Sweet, you know it's all about simple food solutions, using the best possible ingredients that you have on hand. I like to keep it simple and use what I have available to make meals, snacks or desserts. This recipe came to be when I wanted to make a pre-run snack, but didn't have a lot of ingredients on hand, but I did have VEGNOLA Sweet Potato Peanut Butter Granola for breakfast, and thought this would work great in an energy block!
1/2 cup smooth peanut butter (all natural or regular )
1/4 cup liquid honey
1 cup large flake oatmeal
1 cup VEGNOLA Granola
1/2 cup ground flaxseeds
1. In a large bowl blend peanut butter and honey together until smooth
2. Add the flax, granola and oatmeal, mix well with a wooden spoon
3. Chill in refrigerator for 30 minutes
4. Press into a square mold or mini muffin tins, or you can of course roll them into a ball.
Rather than digging around for random nuts, seeds, cereal, use GRANOLA in your next ENERGY BLOCK endeavor to keep it simple.
